The Chase Freedom credit card also happens to have grocery stores as its 5X earning category for this quarter (Q2), but that earning is capped at $1,500 in grocery spending for the quarter.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve’s ability to earn a 5X grocery bonus is capped at $1,500 spending per month (for 2 months). Because of that, the Reserve has the best of the 2020 grocery spending bonuses we’ve seen so far.
This firmly places the Chase Sapphire Reserve at the top of my wallet for grocery purchases (at least until July).
