Room Condition: Issues

We did feel like our room had tangible maintenance and cleanliness issues.

I noticed the room appeared to be very heavily trafficked (“partied in”) and thus, the room needed some serious deep cleaning and maintenance TLC (especially on the shower-head, desk, and A/C vent).

Debis on the floor indicated the carpet had not been throughly vacuumed before we arrived.

Dinner options at the Kimpton Everly Hotel included the hotel’s on-site restaurant, Jane Q, which offered a diverse menu of California-inspired cuisine.

Additionally, the hotel offered rooftop dining at the Skyline Pool and drinks at Ever Bar.

Breakfast

The Diamond Elite Hot Breakfast “for two” option was redeemable at Jane-Q, where we ordered food and coffee to-go.

The food and service were very good, as expected.

The Bottom-Line Review: Kimpton Everly Hotel Hollywood (Los Angeles, California)

Our stay at the Kimpton Everly Hotel was a mixed experience. The hotel’s location in the heart of Hollywood was undoubtedly a major highlight, providing easy access to popular attractions in the area. We also enjoyed the cool artfulness of the Ever Bar, which offered a trendy atmosphere and a creative selection of cocktails.

The Diamond Elite Hot Breakfast at Jane Q restaurant was a very good, no complaints with our take-out.

However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. Furthermore, we observed the room required much-needed maintenance. There were signs of wear and tear, a non-vacuumed carpet, and a grimy shower-head and A/C vent. This aspect of our stay did not meet our expectations.

Taking into account all aspects of our stay, ultimately The Kimpton Everly Hotel in Hollywood is a decent choice for travelers who want to stay close to the action, especially if they are IHG elites or even just IHG loyalists. With a great location and awesome Hollywood views, the hotel does have a lot to offer. In our case, while the location and amenities were enjoyable, the lack of attention to detail in room upkeep brought the rating down. We hope that the hotel addresses these concerns to ensure a more satisfactory experience for future guests.

Final Rating 7.25 out of 10.
