But Is This A Good Deal?
Well, that depends.
Marriott points are conservatively worth about 0.4 cents a piece, so if you were to max out spending ($30,000) on this offer and earn the 45,000 bonus points, you’d earn about $180 in bonus points or alternately, a one-night stay in an “off-peak” category 6 hotel.
But, remember this would be in addition to your regular spending bonuses, and the Marriott Bonvoy Business card has some particularly great easy-to-earn categories:
So, assuming you earn at least 2x on the entirety of the 30,000 points, you could earn a total of:
30,000 * 2 = 60,000 in 2x regular spend;
+ 45,000 in promotional bonus points;
= 105,000 Marriott Bonvoy points total
By this math, 105,000 bonus points would be worth about $420 (conservatively) or up to 2 nights in a category 6 hotel.
But, What’s The Opportunity Cost?
Fair question. What would spending $30,000 on another card get you without a bonus offer?
Here are some examples of the possibilities:
- Chase World of Hyatt card: 30,000 points valued at 2 cents a piece would get you a return of about $600, a free bonus night for spending $15,000, and 12 nights toward status
- Chase Freedom Unlimited card: 45,000 points valued at 1.5 cents a piece would get you about $675 or about $900 if you transferred your points to Hyatt
- American Express Everyday Preferred card:Â 45,000 points valued at 1.5 cents a piece would get you about $675
- American Express Hilton Ascend card: 90,000 Hilton Honors points valued at .4 cents a piece would get you a return of about $450, and a free bonus weekend night (up to 90,000 points) for spending $15,000.
Really, depending on your card or cards of choice, the possibilities are endless on a spend as large as $30,000.

If you own a business and love nothing more than staying at Marriott Bonvoy properties, this is potentially a great offer for you. Remember, you’d have to spend $5,000 a month for 6 months (until 11/30/2019) to maximize this offer.
If however, you have other cards, are not eligible for this offer, or don’t value the Marriott Bonvoy program that highly, I recommend looking for somewhere else to put your $30,000 worth of spending on, even if you are eligible for this offer.
