I recently stayed at the Wynn Las Vegas through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program, which gave me the chance to check out the Spa at Encore.

As I am one to do in Las Vegas, I may have “tied one on” the night before (I mean, we’re talking Vegas, right?).

After surprisingly little convincing after heavy drinking the night before, I talked my friend in to checking out the Spa with me by offering him free $40 day-pass and promising him it would cure his hangover.

Arrival at the lobby

We arrived at the 7:00 am opening and were met by the attendant. He briefly gave us a rundown of the Spa and its services, as well as letting know of the Spa menu and where we could grab some [obviously] much-needed complimentary coffee.

My initial feeling standing in the lobby was the Spa at Encore was impressive. Really impressive.

The decor was surprisingly intricate and detailed, blending Roman and east-Asian, classic and modern, earthy and oceanic, in a way that [somehow] really worked and set the stage promoting maximum relaxation.

We were offered coffee, juices, and various snacks before a brief tour of the Spa facilities.

We proceeded to spend the next couple of hours relaxing at the various stations including the waterfall showers, steam room, sauna, hot pools, cold pools, heated chairs, and finally the standard showers.

The Bottom-Line Review: The [Men’s] Spa At Encore Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV):

Wow, what a great FHR benefit this turned out to be. We couldn’t believe how great the Spa at Encore was or that it was only $40 for a day-pass (free with the $100 Spa FHR credit).

Is this what I have been missing? When all was said and done, the hangover was gone and I felt like a million bucks.

Cheers!
