After a long-haul flight from LAX, I landed at South Korea’s Incheon International Airport (ICN), where I promptly consulted with my American Express app to find a lounge to pass the time during our 2-hour layover to Nha Trang, Vietnam.

I found an open lounge called, “Sky Hub Lounge (East)” so we headed over and checked it out.

But was it any good?

The Food & Drink Area

I’ll cut to the chase. This lounge is “small but mighty”.

There are hot food and cold food spreads, as well as fountain drinks, coffee, alcohol, and ramen (of course).

The Hot Food Spread

While I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food in the hot food area, I was most impressed with the quality of the food items.

There were various pastas, sausages, and Korean dishes. All were hot and tasty.

The Cold Food (Salad) Spread

On the cold food side of things, there was a descent salad bowl bar, and yes, there was kimchi (of course) – and it was delicious.

Fountain Drinks And Coffee Bar

Ramen, soda, and coffee. What more do you really need?

Beer, Alcohol, And Wine

Remember when I said “small but mighty”? The alcohol bar is a perfect example of that.

There is something for everybody.

You have your Kloud Beer, Santa branded white and red wines, and your Gin, Vodka, and Bourbon.

The Seating Area

The seating area is that of a lounge archetype, with plenty of seating, tables, and a view of the concourse below.

The Bottom-Line Review: Sky Hub Lounge East (ICN Airport)

With nine lounges listed in American Express’s app (via Loungebuddy), ICN Airport is spoiled for lounges.

As such, most travelers will no doubt likely pick something close to their departure gate.

With that said, Sky Hub Lounge East is a great lounge to visit if it happens to be in close proximity to your boarding area.

They have a little bit of everything, and more importantly, what they do have seems to be of higher quality then what you would find in your average lounge.

Final Rating: Recommended
