The Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card Is Changing Its Name To…
This past weekend, I received an official email from American Express informing me of the imminent name change coming to the Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card.
What Is The New Name?
As you can see from the email excerpt below, the Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card will henceforth be known as…drum-roll please…the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card.
If this name sounds familiar to you, it should. The “Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card” was the name of this card before it became Ascend card.
The “old” Hilton HHonors Surpass card
I’m assuming the name change was prompted by so many people confusing it with the similar sounding Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card.
Are The Benefits Changing?
Don’t worry, as stated in the above email, the benefits on this card are not changing.
When Does This Name Change Take Effect?
July 18, 2019 is the date the name change officially takes place. You don’t have to do anything, it’s automatic.
