United Airlines Is Adding New Routes, New Planes, And A New Lounge To Los Angeles

Upgrading Domestic Service

In June 2018, United will begin adding brand new Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes to its domestic fleet. The planes come with quieter rides, bigger overhead bins, LED mood lighting, and better fuel efficiency.

United is adding 5 new domestic routes from Los Angeles to cities in the great Northwest – including 2 of my favorite spots in the United States – Kalispell and Missoula.

Kalispell is famously the gateway to Glacier National Park in Montana and Flathead Lake, and Missoula is surrounded by scenic national forests and the National Bison Range.

New International Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Service

On the international front, United Airlines is adding daily non-stop service between Los Angeles and Singapore aboard their new Being 787-9 airplanes.

This route is currently the longest flight in the world and appears to also parallel a similar Dreamliner flight with Singapore Airlines.

New LAX United Polaris Lounge

Lastly, United will open their United Polaris Lounge in LAX’s Terminal 7 in 2018. This premium lounge will feature shower suites, day beds, and preflight dinners.
