World Of Hyatt Globalist Benefits

As Globalist Elite members of the World of Hyatt loyalty program, we received several benefits during our stay at the hotel. We got a complimentary upgrade to a Skyline Suite (a $250 value), which was spacious and comfortable (if not a little dark). We also got a welcome gift of free breakfast at the hotel’s French restaurant, Chez Maggy. We earned 30% bonus points on our stay and got a late check-out.

Location & Parking

The hotel is situated on Market Street, just a few blocks from the 16th Street Mall, a pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining area. The hotel is also close to many attractions, such as the Union Station, the Coors Field, the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Denver Zoo. The hotel is well-connected by public transportation, as there are several bus stops and light rail stations nearby.

Parking options at the Thompson Denver were limited to valet parking [only] for $59 per night, although there were plenty of metered parking spaces nearby.

Breakfast At Chez Maggy

Breakfast at Chez Maggy, the resort’s main restaurant, was a delightful experience. The menu featured a “modern French” cuisine and served a variety of breakfast options, from classic favorites to creative and innovative dishes.

We went with the Croque Madame and the French Denver Omelette (with lattes on the side). Both were delicious.

The Croque Madame is the way to go!

FHOP Tip: What’s Nearby: There were plenty of things to do near the hotel. We walked along the 16th Street Mall, visited the LoDo neighborhood (known for its historic buildings, trendy nightlife, and sports venues), and took the light rail from the 18th & California station to the Union Station.

The Bottom-Line Review: Thompson Denver (Colorado)

Our stay at the Thompson in Denver, Colorado, exceeded our expectations. The hotel had a great location, a friendly staff, and a modern charm that set it apart from other hotels with a sleek design and sophisticated ambiance.

The World of Hyatt loyalty program benefits were generous and valuable, with the upgrade to the large Skyline Suite providing a much welcome stay-changing upgrade in comfort.

The delicious French breakfast at Chez Maggy restaurant was excellent.

The Thompson’s location in downtown Denver was ideal, allowing us to easily explore the downtown area’s attractions and diverse dining scene.

We could highly recommend the Thompson Denver to singles, couples on a staycation, out-of-town visitors, business travelers, or anyone else seeking a modern and stylish accommodation in the heart of Denver.
